It has the super scarce backmark of "W. H. Wilkinson -- Springfield, Mass."  It is also stamped T J Shepard which is super rare to have two back marks. This backmark is lightly struck, and only the finest, early recovered plates have a legible backmark.  The face has an uncleaned surface. One belt loop remains bent over. Verbal provenance is Lookout Mountain area ex Rees Buttram collection. You’ll look a long time for a dual stamped plate.
