Hard to come by ‘59 dated Ames . Nice early date and shows signs of hours in the saddle. Ring mount worn ½ way through and good wear on drag. 100% original leather and wire has been restored and mentioned for accuracy as it does not distract from sword. US GGS 1859 on ricasso and Ames Mfg Co Chicopee Mass on reverse as is correct. These early 1858,1859 and 1860 dated sabres don’t come available very often.
