Hard to come by ‘59 dated Ames . Nice early date and shows signs of hours in the saddle. US GGS 1859 on ricasso and Ames Mfg Co Chicopee Mass on reverse as is correct. Middle ring mount has great saddle wear. Grip retains about 95% leather and 100% wire. One small crack in leather going down front of grip but does not distract from appearance. These early 1858,1859 and 1860 dated sabres don’t come available very often.
