Beautiful condition, non-excavated, early pattern, lead-filled "puppy paw hook style" US oval waist belt plate. The buckle has a nice, uncleaned, aged patina with numerous tiny dings and marks from actual field service. The reverse is lead filled with "puppy paw style" hooks with all three hooks remaining intact. This is a very nice example that clearly saw service.
